Welcome to Lodge on The Green

The Lodge on the Green is situated in the rural village of Curry Rivel in the heart of The Somerset Levels. Its picturesque setting on the Village Green next to St. Andrews Church makes the perfect getaway for a quintessential country escape. It is a self-contained purpose built timber clad lodge full of rustic charm.

As you enter the lodge you’re greeted with the wow factor of the spiral staircase leading to a mezzanine bedroom level with incredible views of the surrounding countryside.

The Space

The lodge offers a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for your stay including double oven with grill, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, Belfast sink, toaster, kettle, tea & coffee supplies, local & fresh breakfast items. The wet room has a rainfall power shower with separate handheld shower alongside.

The luxury soft designer towels benefit from the heated towel rail and don’t forget the underfloor heating makes it very cosy stepping out of the shower. The mezzanine bedroom level is home to a king size French rattan bed with incredible scenic views through the large apex window. You can relax on the L shaped sofa whilst tuning into your favourite TV shows on the 43″  flat screen TV.

The interior look and finishing touches have been created by local interiors enthusiast Kate Macey who featured on the TV series “The Great Interior Design Challenge”. Kate’s style is very warm, cosy and country with a modern twist taking influences from all over the world using bright and vibrant splashes of colour to bring the place alive. Relax and enjoy yourself in the Jacuzzi Hydrotheraphy hot tub whilst taking in some fresh country air.

Guest Access

Guests have a private entrance through double gates down a well-lit pathway into the Lodge on the green through double French doors. There is blue lias patio paving around the entire lodge, perfect for sitting outside in sunny months enjoying a view over the well-established cottage garden and rose border.

Guests have access to the luxury 6 berth hydrotherapy hot tub located a few steps away in the garden which overlooks the lodge and the cottage.

Local Area

Curry Rivel has a lot to offer being the home of award winning pub The Firehouse Somerset, just 1 minute walking distance, open 7 days a week serving lunch, dinner and take away stone baked pizzas, along with some amazing local ales, ciders, creative cocktails and delicious wines. Well renowned teashop Living Pretty serving breakfast, lunch & afternoon tea is a stone’s throw away. The Lodge is only 12 miles from the county town of Taunton which has all the amenities you would require.

Other places of local interest feature Glastonbury (14 miles), Clark’s Village (12 miles), Wells Cathedral (20 miles) and the coastal town of Lyme Regis (25 miles). If you fancy going further afield for the day both Exeter and Bath are 40 miles away which are both well worth visiting with their stunning architecture and history.
